After days filled with discovering hidden treasures, the village of Taiohae will be the ideal place to recharge. This small, quiet port at the bottom of the bay, protected by two rocky massifs, will offer you a relaxing and charming setting. You will be fascinated by its long black sand beaches where it is pleasant to walk, while crossing the proud horsemen of the island. In the Marquesas, the horse remains today the main means of transport for valley inhabitants.
