Tahiti’s beaches are breathtakingly beautiful, but natural shade is often limited. While coconut palm trees can be found on many beaches, they generally provide little protection from the tropical sun, and it is not recommended to sit directly beneath them due to the risk of falling coconuts.

The sun in French Polynesia is particularly intense year-round, even on partially cloudy days. A beach umbrella is therefore one of the best ways to comfortably enjoy the lagoons, sandy beaches, and outdoor lifestyle while staying protected from the sun’s powerful rays.

For even greater freedom, you are welcome to take your equipment with you when traveling to other islands in French Polynesia during your stay. We simply ask that it be returned to the original island of pickup at the end of the rental period.
