Tour Overview
Fakarava invites you to experience an exceptional day in the heart of a pristine and spectacular natural environment.
Your adventure begins at 8:00 AM with a scenic 45-minute boat ride, including a guided discovery of the famous Garuae North Pass, the widest pass in the Tuamotu Archipelago.
You will then arrive at Teahatea, a true lagoon within the lagoon, an idyllic paradise with calm, crystal-clear waters free from waves and currents, making it perfect for everyone, including children. The setting is simply breathtaking, with pristine white sand and stunning shades of blue and turquoise, creating the ideal backdrop for swimming, relaxation, and unforgettable photos.
Snorkeling enthusiasts will have the opportunity to explore a natural aquarium inhabited by blacktip reef sharks, stingrays, colorful tropical fish, and occasionally even sea turtles.
The day continues with an authentic local picnic, accompanied by demonstrations of traditional Paumotu know-how presented by local residents. Learn about the coconut’s many uses through demonstrations of husking, grating, and preparing fresh coconut milk, along with other traditional techniques passed down through generations. Depending on the season, lunch may feature local specialties such as Tahitian raw fish marinated in coconut milk, fresh salads, grilled fish including mahi-mahi or parrotfish, as well as tropical fruits and homemade desserts.
After lunch, enjoy a moment of pure relaxation at your own pace. Swim in the turquoise lagoon, unwind on the soft white sand, or simply soak in the feeling of being alone in one of the most beautiful and untouched settings in French Polynesia.
The return journey is scheduled for approximately 4:30 PM, bringing to a close an unforgettable day combining nature, culture, and tropical escape.
