Tour Overview
Discover Moorea through its flavors on a delicious journey into the heart of Polynesian gastronomy.
In Tahitian, “Tama’a” means “to eat”—and that is exactly what this experience is all about. Come with an empty stomach and get ready to explore the island through its local markets, small shops, family-run eateries, and authentic addresses where Moorea’s residents love to gather and eat.
Throughout the tour, you will sample a generous selection of sweet and savory specialties, including seasonal tropical fruits, fresh local produce, traditional snacks, fish dishes, pai, mape, and other much-loved Polynesian treats. You will also enjoy a variety of local drinks and discover the ingredients, recipes, and culinary traditions that shape everyday life in the islands.
More than a simple tasting tour, this experience reveals the rich cultural diversity of present-day French Polynesia. Each stop introduces you to flavors inspired by Polynesian, Chinese, and French influences, while offering an authentic glimpse into Moorea’s lifestyle and food culture.
Combining gastronomy, local encounters, and island discovery, the Moorea Tama’a Food Tour is the perfect experience for curious travelers and food lovers looking to taste the true spirit of Polynesia.
