Tour Overview
The whale watching tour is a must-do experience from July to October, offering a rare opportunity to encounter humpback whales in the warm waters of French Polynesia.
Your journey begins with a cruise through the lagoon, where you may spot dolphins, turtles, and sharks before heading offshore in search of these majestic cetaceans, who come to Polynesian waters to give birth and care for their calves.
During the excursion, 2 types of experiences are available:
- – Observer passengers, who enjoy the encounter from the boat
- – And confirmed swimmer passengers, who may take part in a guided water entry.
In accordance with current regulations, water entries are limited to a maximum of 6 swimmers at a time. Entering the water is never guaranteed and always depends on weather and sea conditions, whale behavior, participant level, and guide authorization.
From the boat, watch these incredible animals move gracefully through the ocean, observe powerful blows rising from the surface, and, with a little luck, witness calves breaching or playing alongside their mothers.
Throughout the tour, your passionate guides will share their knowledge about humpback whales, their migration, behavior, and the importance of respecting these protected marine mammals.
An unforgettable and emotional experience, combining discovery, respect for nature, and the magic of one of Polynesia’s most impressive wildlife encounters.
