Tour Overview
A true diver’s paradise, French Polynesia is without a doubt THE ultimate destination to fall in love with scuba diving. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced diver, don’t miss the chance to explore this iconic region, where lagoons shimmer in hundreds of shades of blue and teem with marine life more vibrant and diverse than anywhere else on Earth.
In Tikehau, the underwater world is rich and wild, offering encounters with large marine species such as great hammerhead sharks, tiger sharks, grey reef sharks, blacktip sharks, and the elusive tapete shark. You’ll also spot colorful tropical fish, Napoleon wrasse, sea turtles, massive schools of goatfish, barracudas, bigeye trevally—and above all, the majestic manta rays.
Introductory dives (baptêmes) are held either at the manta ray site or at the pass.
Exploration dives typically take place in Tuheiava Pass, about 20–25 minutes by boat from the village. These excursions always include two successive dives.
For sunset dives (from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm), you’ll witness the spawning of surgeonfish and parrotfish, shifting marine behaviors like sharks hunting schools of “Ature” (mackerel), all in the magical, golden glow of the setting sun.
